How to Get to the Music Concourse in Golden Gate Park
The Music Concourse in Golden Gate Park (view on Google maps), located between the de Young Museum and the California Academy of Sciences (Hagiwara Tea Driveand Music Concourse Drive). The Music Concourse is easily accessible via public transit, bicycle, rideshare or car.
DRIVING
If you must drive, parking is available in the Music Concourse Garage (7 a.m.–7 p.m. daily), which can be accessed via the Fulton/10th Ave. entrance or the Music Concourse Drive/MLK Drive entrance). Limited four-hour street parking is also available on Martin Luther King Drive and Stow Lake Drive.
If you’re riding your bike, bike racks are located on Music Concourse Drive and on Nancy Pelosi Drive to the right and left of the staff footbridge.
PLEASE NOTE: JFK Drive is currently closed to cars.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
We encourage sustainable transportation whenever possible. SF Muni serves the Music Concourse via several bus and metro lines (plan your trip via SFMTA’s Trip Planner tool):
The N-Judah Muni Metro stops at 9th Avenue and Irving Street. Travel north on 9th Avenue into Golden Gate Park until you reach Music Concourse Drive, then turn right and continue to the Observation Wheel. This half-mile walk takes approximately 10 minutes; you may also transfer to the 44-O’Shaughnessy bus at 9th and Irving and ride to the stop on Music Concourse Drive.
The #44 O'Shaughnessy bus stops across from the Academy of Sciences on Tea Garden Drive (southbound) and in front of the Academy on Music Concourse Drive (northbound).
The #5 Fulton bus stops at 8th Avenue and Fulton Street, just outside the park. From 8th Avenue, walk into the park and turn right on John F. Kennedy Drive. Then turn left onto Music Concourse Drive.
